Quite Frankly, It’s Too Hot to do Anything
Oh my goodness! The heat in Alabama has been stifling these past few weeks, right? I had to teach at a wellness event last week at an apartment complex in Homewood. It was literally 99 degrees! And it was by the pool which made it even hotter. I will not be doing that again. Hopefullly, the next wellness event will be in the Fall when it is nice and cool and the leaves are changing colors.
In sharing all that, the class inspired me to put together a cool and calming Yoga routine to be done INSIDE and not by the pool.
Cool and Calming Yoga Routine
Here is a list of poses that you can do when you need to feel calm and relaxed this summer demonstrated by some of my clients.
Reserve Warrior
Chair
Standing Spilts
Partner stretching
One Leg Downward Dog
Legs Up the Wall
Butterfly (with your dog)
Modified Low Lunge
Savasana
One of my favorite poses is savasana because I get to take a nice little nap at the end of the class. ;) Tell me what your favorite Yoga pose is in the comments below.
I hope everyone has a cool and calming Yoga practice through August. If you are interested in signing up for private or semi-private Yoga or Personal Training sessions, you can click this link www.yogaflowandfitness.com to find out more.
